2025 Philmont Contingent

Pack Your Bags for Philmont: A Journey of a Lifetime!

If you have ever wanted to go to Philmont and experience the gorgeous backcountry and outdoor activities, this is the place, and now is the time. Join Scouts from the Grand Canyon Council for an unforgettable adventure at the Boy Scouts of America’s largest High Adventure Base. The mountains of New Mexico will provide you with incredible experiences in backpacking and activities that range from gold panning to burro packing. Memories will be made, friendships will be forged, and challenges will be overcome—Philmont is one of Scouting’s greatest adventures.

Who: The Grand Canyon Council will be sending two crews to Philmont from June 8 to June 20, 2025. We are excited to offer openings to both male and female participants. Participants must be registered members of the BSA and either be 14 years of age or have completed 8th grade and be at least 13 years of age prior to participation. All participants must have a medical form and meet BSA height/weight requirements. Please do not request or expect any exceptions to this rule.

When: June 8 – June 20, 2025, Registration Closes: 12-31-2024 11:59 PM

Fee: The total fee for contingent participants is $1,995.00. Each participant must pay a $275 non-refundable deposit to secure their spot on the crew.

Fees Include:

  • Round trip transportation
  • Philmont Fee
  • Trek T-shirt
